1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

BioGrow™ SOIL is a soil-conditioning formulation combining stabilized organic matter, vermicompost, biochar, humic substances, fulvic substances, mineral soil conditioners, and a compatible beneficial-microbial carrier.

The formulation is designed to support:

4. MICROBIAL SPECIFICATION

Where a microbial component is included, the formulation should use only identified, non-pathogenic, quality-controlled strains with documented identity and compatibility.

  • Bacillus amyloliquefaciens
  • A validated beneficial Trichoderma strain

Development target

Total viable microbial count:
≥10⁶–10⁸ CFU/g at manufacture, depending on the organism and validated formulation.

For individual organisms, the final specification should state the minimum viable count separately rather than relying solely on a combined CFU value.

Microbial viability should be confirmed at:

7. APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Young Aquilaria Trees

100–500 g/tree/application

Apply in a ring around the tree, avoiding direct contact with the trunk.

Developing Trees

0.5–1.0 kg/tree/application

Incorporate lightly into the upper soil layer within the active root zone.

Mature Plantation Trees

0.5–1.5 kg/tree/application

Application rate should be adjusted according to:

  • Canopy development

  • Rainfall/irrigation
  • Plantation management intensity

Nursery

Use at a lower incorporation rate appropriate to the nursery substrate. Conduct a phytotoxicity and germination test before large-scale nursery application.


8. APPLICATION METHOD

  1. Remove excessive weeds and debris around the tree.
  2. Apply BioGrow™ SOIL around the active root zone.
  3. Keep material away from direct contact with the trunk.
  4. Lightly incorporate into the topsoil where practical.
  5. Irrigate or apply before suitable rainfall.
  6. Avoid application to severely waterlogged soil.
  7. Repeat according to soil condition and plantation-management program.

11. PACKAGING

12. STORAGE

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and excessive temperatures.

Do not store together with pesticides, disinfectants, strong oxidizers, or materials that could contaminate the product.


13. PROPOSED SHELF LIFE

Target: 12 months from date of manufacture.

For a microbial-containing commercial product, the final shelf life must be established through real-time and accelerated stability studies demonstrating that the specified microbial counts and chemical/physical characteristics remain within specification.


14. AGRONOMIC POSITIONING

BioGrow™ SOIL is a soil-health product, not a direct agarwood-induction formulation.

Its intended role within an integrated Aquilaria production system is:

SOIL → RHIZOSPHERE → ROOTS → TREE VIGOR → PLANTATION READINESS

It should not be marketed as directly causing agarwood resin formation unless such claims are supported by controlled experimental and field evidence.


15. PRODUCT QUALITY STATEMENT

BioGrow™ SOIL should be manufactured using traceable agricultural-grade raw materials under controlled production conditions.

The final commercial specification should be based on validated laboratory results rather than theoretical formulation values. Microbial strains, viable counts, contaminant limits, fertilizer/soil-amendment classification, labeling, and permitted claims should be reviewed against applicable Philippine regulatory requirements before commercial release.
