* The microbial component should consist only of validated, agriculturally appropriate strains with documented identity, viability, compatibility, and absence of undesirable contaminants.

** The stabilization system must be selected according to the actual microbial formulation. A conventional preservative can reduce microbial viability and therefore should not be added without compatibility testing.


2. Recommended Microbial Platform

A commercial BioGrow™ ROOT formulation could investigate a consortium based on:

  • Bacillus spp. — rhizosphere colonization and plant-growth-support functions
  • Trichoderma spp. — beneficial root-zone biological support
  • Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) — potentially useful for nutrient and water acquisition

For a liquid product, however, AMF spores are generally better handled as a separate compatible inoculant or dry formulation rather than simply mixed into a conventional liquid concentrate.

3. Target Product Characteristics

pH target: Approximately 5.5–7.0, subject to microbial compatibility testing
Specific gravity: Approximately 1.00–1.10
Appearance: Homogeneous suspension; minor natural sediment may be acceptable depending on formulation
Shelf life target: 12 months, subject to stability and microbial viability studies

4. Microbial Quality Targets

The final specification should establish a validated minimum viable count for each declared microorganism rather than simply stating a generic microbial percentage.

5. Development Principle

BioGrow™ ROOT should be designed to work primarily through root-zone biological support and biostimulation, rather than attempting to force rapid top growth.

Its intended sequence is:

Healthy Rhizosphere → More Active Fine Roots → Better Nutrient/Water Acquisition → Stronger Establishment → Improved Tree Development

For agarwood production, BioGrow™ ROOT should be positioned as an establishment and root-support product, not as an agarwood-resin-induction product.
